Furniture board
Built-in furniture isn’t just a part of architecture – it’s the heart of a space, influencing how the space is experienced and perceived.
Ligninium was created to elevate built-in furniture to its rightful place: aesthetically stunning and functional, without compromising on environmental values.
Ligninium furniture board consists of three parts: surface, glue and core. The surface is a lignin-based, durable and beautiful high-pressure laminate that is pressed onto the frame using biodegradable glue. NAF (No Added Formaldehyde) chipboard, NAF MDF and NAF poplar plywood have been carefully selected as the frame material of the furniture board.
Ligninium furniture board is used in fixed furniture and furnishings, such as countertops, doors, and frames as well as decorative panels on the walls.

Surfaces
In interiors, colors create rhythm and harmony, shape spaces and evoke emotions. Our curated color library offers a wide range of shades that work beautifully both together and individually.
With our carefully selected materials, we combine beauty and functionality with environmental consciousness.
Adhesive
Kiilto Pro WRX 3070 adhesive is used for bonding surface laminate and the core, offering a biodegradable solution for industrial veneering and the most eco-friendly option on the market. The product still contains formaldehyde, but its concentration is up to 90% lower compared to commonly used adhesive products.

Processing
Ligninium furniture board can be processed using both modern and traditional woodworking machines.
The edges of the board products can be edgebanded or surface-treated. Edgebanding can be done using solid wood and wood veneer strips or laminate strips made of the same material as the surface.
ABS edgebanding in the same color as the surface is also available. We are actively conducting research to find even more environmentally friendly alternatives for these durable components.
